報告摘要:Tensor network states are new kinds of variational wavefunctions that help us to understand quantum phases and phase transitions beyond Landau paradigm. In this talk, I will first review the major development of tensor-network simulation in the past two decades. In particular, I will introduce the novel concept of long-range entanglement and entanglement renormalization. Then I will discuss the major break throughs made by tensor-network simulations in recent years. If time permits, I will also mention the relationship between deep learning and tensor network simulation.
報告人簡介:顧正澄,香港中文大學終身教授,曾任美國加州大學聖芭芭拉分校Kavli理論物理研究所研究員、加拿大Perimeter研究所研究員、美國加州理工學院訪問研究員,北京大學、清華大學、浙江大學訪問學者。曾就讀於清華大學和麻省理工大學,研究方向為理論物理、凝聚態物理、高能粒子物理等。
